MALEVO is an Argentinian Malambo folklore company created by the talented director, choreographer, and dancer Matías Jaime. MALEVO has revolutionised Malambo dance, transforming this traditional Argentine folklore dance, originating from the gauchos of the Pampas region, into a modern, avant-garde, and groundbreaking show. MALEVO's performances combine the great virility and skill of Malambo with flamenco techniques, live percussion, and the use of boleadoras, creating a unique and thrilling show that offers an extraordinary visual and sensory experience.

Innovation and International Recognition

MALEVO has been recognised as a “Cultural Ambassador of Argentina’s National Identity” and has achieved significant international success.

They have performed in cities such as Las Vegas, New York, Dubai, Paris, Qatar, France, Monte Carlo, Spain, Saint Petersburg, Canada, London, and Moscow. Additionally, they received a special invitation to collaborate with Cirque du Soleil. Furthermore, they created Malambo choreographies for the Las Vegas show of Latin pop idol Ricky Martin. MALEVO also had a year-long season at Universal Studios, Osaka, Japan.

Participation in International Festivals and Media

The company has participated in renowned festivals such as “Juste Pour Rire” and “Le Incroyable” in Canada, “La France a un Incroyable Talent” in France, Global Village in Dubai, Santa Lucía Festival in Mexico, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Dance Open in Russia, the Gastronomic and Culinary Festival in Spain, and the Monte Carlo Historic Rally. They were also semifinalists on “America’s Got Talent”.

Innovation and Education

MALEVO launched “Malevo Art Factory”, an online platform to teach Malambo and other dance disciplines worldwide. This initiative has allowed their art to reach a global audience. Currently, the company is on international tours with their show “Xtreme Malambo” and is developing new large-scale shows.

Sony Latin America filmed a special programme titled “Malevo Has Talent”, broadcast for Spanish-speaking viewers. Additionally, MALEVO has performed shows on Norwegian Cruise Line, bringing their spectacle to the seas and introducing Malambo to new international audiences.
